The American National Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship 2009 is realized by United States Jiu-Jitsu Federation.

The athletes from the following countries Brazil, France, Portugal, Canada and Japan must be affiliated with their countries national Brazilian jiu jitsu federation, and must bring federation ID at the event before their fights, otherwise you will not be able to compete.

HOW TO ENROLL

ONLINE REGISTRATION

The registration fees for the tournament are as follows:

The fee for registration in the NoGi tournament , i.e., received by Saturday, September 05, 2009 is $72.00.
The fee for registration in the NoGi tournament , i.e., received by Sunday September 06 until Thursday, September 17 , 2009 is $87.00.

ABSOLUTELY NO REGISTRATION WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER (GMT - 7, Greenwich Mean Time). Also, note that registration fee(s) are non-refundable.

THE FEDERATION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CLOSE THE REGISTRATION when we reach full capacity, or September 17, wichever comes first.

ALL ATHLETES MUST CHECK THEIR REGISTRATION INFORMATION ON THE REGISTRATION CHECK DAY - SEPTEMBER 24th ON OUR WEBSITE www.usbjjf.com

Corrections by e-mail:
The athletes can send e-mail with changes on the registration, by sending an email to ibjjf@ibjjf.org with the subject 'AMERICAN NATIONAL NO-GI CORRECTION'. The deadline is September 21th 5PM GMT -7.

Registration Check day:
The athletes must make sure that their information is correct by checking the website on the registration list for their weight, belt, academy, age division, and name information. If there are any mistakes on the information (ei. typing mistakes by USBJJF) please send an email to ibjjf@ibjjf.org. (deadline September 24th, 5PM GMT -7) .

The brackets will be released before the tournament . On friday, September 25th the brackets will be available online at our website.

After the registration check day, no changes will be made and no refunds will be given.

During the tournament, any mistakes on the brackets that were not correct previous to sign-in check day will lead to immediate disqualification .

WEIGH INS


Before his/her first fight, the athlete will check his/her weight . There is only one opportunity to check the weight. If the competitor does not make his/her weight,they will be immediately disqualified. Please make sure that you are in the correct weight division. You can not change divisions ,if you do not make your designated division. No changes will be accepted in the tournament day, no refund.
All athletes must weighn in with the complete uniform (the weight list already includes the extra weight for the uniform).

NO-GI CHAMPIONSHIP
DIVISIONS

Junior (16/17 year-olds)

> Only bluebelts
> Men
> 16 and 17 year-olds will compete in the same division
> Athletes born on 1992 and 1993 are eligible to compete
> Fight time: 5 minutes
> There's no open class for juvenile
> Check the weight list
>All athletes must weighn in with the complete uniform (the weight list already includes the extra weight for the uniform)

Adults

The division is open for everyone (18 years old and above)
All athletes must weighn in with the complete uniform (the weight list already includes the extra weight for the uniform)

Fight time:

> bluebelts - 6 minutes;
> purplebelts - 7 minutes
> brownbelts - 8 minutes
> blackbelts -10 minutes

Women adult

There will be five weight divisions (check weight list)
All athletes must weighn in with the complete uniform (the weight list already includes the extra weight for the uniform)

Blue and Purple belts will compete in the same division
Brown and Black belts will compete in the same division

Adults only
Fight time:

> Blue/Purple - 7minutes
> Brown/blackbelts - 10 minutes

Master and Senior

Masters (30-35)

• Athletes born between 1974 and 1979
  Fight time: Bluebelts – 5 minutes
  Purple/brown/blackbelts – 6 minutes
  Men only

Seniors 1 (36-40)

• Athletes born between 1969 and 1973.
  Fight time: all belts - 5 minutes
  Men only

Seniors 2 (41-45)

• Athletes born between 1964 and 1968.
  Fight time: all belts - 5 minutes
  Men only

Seniors 3 (over 46)

• Athletes born in 1963 and before.
  Fight time: all belts - 5 minutes
  Men only

STAFF

Score keepers and Ring Coordinators are needed for the 2009 American National No-Gi championships.

We are currently filling staff positions for The 2009 American National Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championships. We are in need of time keepers and ring coordinators. You do not have to have any experience, just the willingness to hang in there for a long fun filled day. We will offer online tutorials and have a staff meeting at the start of each day to answer any questions that you might have.
All Volunteers will receive:

1. Staff tee shirt
2. Lunch
3. Food and gas allowance
4. USBJJF membership ID
